12 Soldiers Martyred, 35 Terrorists Killed in KP Operations: ISPR
ISLAMABAD – Twelve soldiers of the Pakistan Army were martyred, and 35 terrorists affiliated with the Indian-backed group Fitna al Khwarij were killed during two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between September 10 and 13, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed.
Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of soldiers in Bajaur and South Waziristan, President Zardari paid tribute to their bravery and sacrifice. According to a statement from the President’s Secretariat Press Wing, he said their blood strengthened the nation’s resolve to eliminate terrorism.
The President also expressed concern over the continued use of Afghan territory by terrorists and called on the Afghan Interim Government to ensure that its soil is not used for attacks against Pakistan. He reaffirmed that Pakistan would never bow to violence and would defeat Fitna al Khwarij and their supporters.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their successful operations in Bajaur and South Waziristan. The Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing reported that he honored the twelve soldiers who embraced martyrdom while fighting the terrorists.
The Prime Minister offered prayers for the departed and extended condolences to the bereaved families. He emphasized that Pakistan’s security forces remained steadfast in the fight against terrorism and reiterated the nation’s determination to eliminate all forms of extremist threats.
