7 Of The Most Unrealistic Things In TV Shows
TV shows aren’t supposed to be realistic. If they were, no one would watch them because they would be boring. Plus, people watch TV to escape from their lives and watching something that is basically just their lives on a screen – not appealing. But sometimes, things are just TOO unrealistic.
There are so many mundane things that characters do on tv that normal people never do in the real-life
1. Their morning routines
Have you ever noticed that whenever characters are getting ready in the morning, whether it be for school or work, they’re never in a hurry? They can lounge around and have these long, deep talks. They can sit around, drink coffee, and read every single word in the newspaper. It’s like time doesn’t exist for them, or maybe they have special privileges and can show up to work/school anytime they want.
2. Everyone has lots of time to socialize
In Medical TV shows, the drama in these shows tends to revolve around the relationships between the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff. Somehow, all these people seem to have lots of time to socialize, have steamy affairs, backstab each other, and get into interpersonal dramas
In reality, the drama at any hospital revolves around the patients. Nurses are notoriously overworked, and doctors are kept on their feet as well—nobody gets the time they’d like to spend on individual patients, let alone each other
3. Never Listen When There’s Something Important
“I’ve got something important, and you should know it right now!” Now in the real world, the person would leave the work to pay attention to the vital piece of information that is being shared. However, that’s not the case in the Soapland! The person who needs to listen to the essential news will first finish all the work it is preoccupied with, before finally lending an ear to know the story.
4. Everyone Seems To Be Overdressed In the TV Shows, At All Times
Was that an intimate moment? Just had a shower? Sleeping? No matter how casual the circumstances are, certain TV soaps never let the characters stay without makeup, tidy hair, accessories, and shiny shoes.
Do you sleep with your makeup on every day, every time, and every moment?
5. Everything is clean…..how?
Everything looks like it came straight out of a catalog. There are never dirty dishes in the sink. Couches look like no one has ever sat on them. Tables and counters sparkle. Clothes are never found on the floor. Beds are always made. The list goes on and on. I wonder what it’s like to have your life THAT much together.
6. Everyone looks like an angel while they’re sleeping
Every time in tv shows a sleeping person, their hair is perfectly styled, their clothes are wrinkle-free, and their mouth is closed. I have never seen someone sleep in a perfect position with a perfect appearance. It’s all lies
7. Father And Child Reunite After Ages
You’ll see millions of fictional reunions. TV soaps make it seem incredibly easy for the two to communicate even after being dead. But does that happen in real life?
It is far more complicated, and not as smooth as it sounds! Real-life relations do not proceed as smoothly as TV soaps portray them to. There are hard feelings, disheartening backstories, neglect, abuse, and addiction but television characters never contemplate any of these.
