Israel’s Gaza invasion – Day 15
Twenty trucks of humanitarian aid won’t alter the reality of collective punishment, says a Palestinian activist
Twenty trucks of relief supplies, according to Mustafa Barghouti, the founder of the Palestinian National Initiative and a former member of parliament, “would not change much of the reality of collective punishment.”
He claimed in a video he posted that Israel “continues to threaten and intimidate no fewer than 27 hospitals in Gaza, threatening to bombard them unless they evacuate, It might entail a repetition of the atrocity committed at the Baptist hospital in Gaza.
The protester said, “We need immediate support to lessen this level of collective punishment against the Palestinian people.

Qatar claims that soon’ captive releases from Hamas will result from mediation
A spokesman for Qatar’s Foreign Ministry told the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag that the country hopes the captives can be freed “very soon” as a result of ongoing negotiations. Qatar is a major player in the campaign to free hostages taken by Hamas from Israel.
“I cannot guarantee that this will occur today, tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow. But we are moving in a direction that will soon result in the release of the hostages, particularly the civilian hostages, said Majed Al-Ansari.
“We are currently working on an agreement under which all civilian hostages will be initially released,” he continued.
Israel says 203 people — Israelis, dual nationals and foreigners — were abducted by Hamas fighters.
