You can’t tell your sisters that their sole responsibilities are to prepare food and give birth: Malik Shoaib

Shoaib Malik discussed his turbulent relationships

In a candid interview, Pakistani cricket player Shoaib Malik discussed his turbulent relationships throughout his life and his difficulty setting healthier boundaries as a result of his hectic schedule as a player on Shaista Lodhi’s podcast. Shoaib emphasized the significance of maintaining an emotional equilibrium.

“If you’re in a relationship and you keep saying yes to everything, this will hit you very badly eventually,” he added. Shoaib discussed how his hectic schedule affected his interpersonal dynamics in response to a question about whether his remark was motivated by personal experience with relationships in which he unduly agreedable just to keep them continuing.

The previous captain of the cricket team said, “I was always on the go.” “You don’t think much when you live that way. You simply nod along, lost in your task, and you’re not even aware of it at the time. I should have communicated instead of saying yes to everything,” Shoaib thought to himself.

He continued by saying that having improved his communication would have made it easier for him to manage his connections with his family, friends, and other people. Men should work toward gender equality in all areas of life, according to Shoaib. “It’s much easier to live a simpler life if men maintain equality in their relationships,” he said.

“They [men] don’t have to think too deep about this,” the cricket player continued. The fact that they would soon get married and relocate to a new home where they would only have to cook shouldn’t be revealed to their sisters. or that everything will always follow their in-laws’ wishes. Shoaib voiced his displeasure with the constrained existence reserved for women.

Yes, show them the utmost respect, but you can’t teach your sisters that their roles are limited to caring for the home, preparing meals, and giving birth. He restated his advice to men, saying that this should not be the case at all.
