Bushra Bibi: A new audio leak “reveals differences” between Imran Khan’s sisters
Recent social media footage purporting to show Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, and his attorney Latif Khosa suggests that things are not going well in the former prime minister’s home now that he is incarcerated.
The two are allegedly overheard discussing how Khan’s sisters are upset about Khosa’s supposed inappropriate behavior toward them about a case.
Speaking about a recent incident, the PTI chief’s wife began the tape by mentioning that there was controversy when the former premier’s sisters discussed the matter of Imran Khan being at risk of being poisoned in Attock jail.
When Khan was being imprisoned at the Attock prison in August of this year, Bushra Bibi expressed worries about her husband’s safety and security, stating he “can be poisoned” there.
In a correspondence addressed to the Punjab home secretary, the former first lady expressed her concerns that her husband would be poisoned while in captivity at Attock, stating that the court had ordered the relevant authorities to relocate him to Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.
She had written in the letter, “His [Imran Khan] life is still in danger [and] there is a fear that my husband will be poisoned in Attock jail.”
Bushra Bibi is heard in the audio leak advising Khan’s sisters to consider hiring Khosa as a lawyer when the time is right.
The former first lady was heard saying, “I told them that all my cases will now be dealt with by him and the ones that I think are being delayed, I will give to him.”
Khan’s sisters, according to Khosa, believe that he misbehaved with them. The claimed chat between Khosa and the sisters of the former prime minister occurred when they went to meet with the senior lawyer at his office to express their opposition to include the information about poisoning in the petition that was filed with the Islamabad High Court.
According to Bushra, Khan’s sister allegedly added, “They said he [Khosa] has misbehaved with us so much that we could never think about someone having so much guts.”
“I told them what need did they have to go to his office,” she continued. They said, “We went to ask about writing the line regarding poison,” when I asked them who they should ask about it.
Bushra went on to say that she instructed her husband that only Khosa would represent her while Khan’s sisters carried on their conversation.
She further mentioned that although Khan’s sisters expressed a dislike for going to Khosa’s office, his wife persisted in having them go.
In response, Khosa stated over the phone: “I don’t tend to act out. I requested them to cease pressing so much. Permit me to handle it whatever I see fit. They are referring to this as misbehavior.”
Bushra responded to Khosa by saying, “I’ll tell you something.” They did not discuss bringing this petition to Khosa’s office. They claim it to be untrue. We recently met, and he behaved in a way that was… Khan was informed that “[Khosa] spoke poorly of you in reference to
Speaking to Geo News outside an Islamabad court, Khosa revealed his frustration over the audio leak.
“The client and the attorney are having a talk. “Those who disclosed it ought to feel guilty,” he declared.
Khan’s attorney questioned who was disclosing people’s personal phone calls and discussions.
He claimed that Justice Babar Sattar had given an order to identify the source of the audio leak.
“The people leaking such personal audios should come and tell the court,” Khosa insisted
