1.Voter Registration: Get yourself Registered

Verify your registration status means: if you already registered to vote then you need to do is to verify your registration states on the official website of ECP. To ensure that your information about your polling station and address is up to date.

New voter Registration process: For those who have not registered to vote previously or new in vote process what they have to do is, simple SMS your CNIC number to 8300, you will received information about your polling station and about your eligibility criteria (eligible for voting or not).

2.Eligibility criteria

You shall be qualified to be enrolled as a voter if you are fulfilling the conditions given below.

•Residents of Pakistan

•18 years old

•Own a Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) issued from National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA)

•Individual should be sound mentally fit mean not declared by a competent court to be of unsound mind. Person should be competent to make decision.

•According to section 27 of the election act 2017, a person regarded as a resident in the electoral area.

3.Voting process: step by step guide

•Your original CNIC your key to voting: Make sure you take your original CNIC with you at your polling station because polling staff will not let you vote with copy of your CNIC.

•As election for Provisional and National assemblies are occurring on the same day, so you will be presented with two ballot papers. You need to make sure to mark it correctly. Like pitcher given below:

•The ballot paper will be stamped and signed at the back under the authority of the chairperson.

•Point to be notice here, your vote won’t be including in vote counting if there is unavailability of stamp and signature at the back of the ballot paper.

•Your finger or thumb of either hand mark with an indelible ink for to get your personal mark made.

•The presiding officer or chairperson will also register your voter number on the electoral roll and ID card number on the counterfoil of the ballot paper and will stamp it with the official label and sign it.

•After that they will acquire your thumb mark on it and also on the electoral roll against your entry.

•Once everything is finished, you can move to the area reserved for marking the ballot paper.

4.Rejection of Vote

For not to rejection of your valuable vote, you make sure to fold your ballot paper lengthwise, it will prevent to ink spread on the other candidates’ space on the ballot paper, otherwise, your vote can be rejected at the time of counting because of misinterpretation.
