China Produces the First AI Child in History
What they refer to as the first AI child in history has been unveiled by Chinese scientists. The Beijing Institute for General Artificial Intelligence (BIGAI) is the organization that developed Tong Tong, the AI. Tong Tong is a virtual AI avatar that was initially displayed to the public in Beijing.
Tong Tong, according to BIGAI, is a major step toward the development of a general artificial intelligence (AGI) agent—a machine that possesses human-like thought and reasoning abilities. Renowned AI expert Zhu Songchun is in charge of the group. AGI agents differ from other types of AI in that they are capable of multiple tasks rather than simply one.
When Tong Tong made her debut, her skills were comparable to those of a three- or four-year-old youngster. She showed that she could fix things, clean up after spills, and comply with human directions by getting a towel.
Tong Tong’s unique quality is her capacity to delegate work to oneself without clear instructions. In virtual entities, this degree of independence is unprecedented. Furthermore, Tong Tong’s developers claim that she is meant to be intelligent and emotional.
The Tong test is a brand-new technique created by BIGAI researchers to evaluate AGI. This test assesses the level of intelligence of an AI by looking at its vision, language, thinking, movement, and learning, among other things. It also takes into account many values, such as feelings and survival. To ensure that AGI has practical skills and values, and can operate well in human situations, the Tong test is essential
