Tomorrow, PTI will declare its nominee for the PM position

Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek Insaf, declared on Tuesday that his party had secured 180 seats nationwide and that the party’s nominee for prime minister would be named by Thursday.

He revealed that the PTI had won all three NA seats in Islamabad and four more seats in Balochistan in an interview with the media following a meeting with the party’s founding chairman and former prime minister, Imran Khan, in Adiala Jail.

Similarly, he clarified that the party has secured 180 seats across the country after winning 115 NA seats in Punjab, 16 in Sindh, and 42 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He regretted that offers of between Rs. 100 and Rs. 250 million were being made to their returned candidates.

He stated that the PTI had already made up its mind to run candidates for constitutional offices and that they would reveal the prime minister’s choice by Thursday.

“The people gave us the mandate, but it was stolen, and Allah has made us proud in the elections. “The people are the source of power; all we ask is that those in authority be respected,” he argued.

Senator Ali Zafar, a senior PTI member, stated that they had seen PTI founder Imran Khan for the first time following the election. He said that when it came to political decisions, the PTI founder was consulted. The nation has woken up, he said, quoting Imran Khan, who also told PTI leaders to begin talks to establish a government and choose a prime minister, chief minister, and speaker of the National Assembly.

According to Ali Zafar, Imran Khan gave the party leaders the order to get in touch with any party other than the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQMP), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN).

He stated that within a week to ten days, there would be intra-party elections, and he insisted that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) have to recognize the results.

In a related development, PTI Information Secretary Raoof Hasan stated that the party had secured a clear majority with 180 seats in the National Assembly, and as such, Imran Khan has given the party permission to form a coalition with the Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) in the Centre and Punjab.

After meeting with the PTI founding chairman, Raoof declared at a press conference that the PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami would establish a coalition government in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to compete for reserved seats.

“We will form the governments in the two provinces per Imran Khan’s orders, and we will step up our efforts to form the government in the Center as well.”

Delivering Imran Khan’s speech, Raoof stated that those who had won the election had the right to establish a government, and those in positions of authority should recognize this.

He said that he had been given the responsibility of holding talks with all political parties in order to establish a coalition government by the PTI founding chairman. Raoof reaffirmed Imran’s position that he would not hold negotiations with the MQMP, PPP, or PMLN.

In order to carry on the party’s political fight for democratic principles rather than power, he declared, “I have been given the mandate by Khan to approach all political parties for coalition partnerships.”

According to him, Ali Amin Gandapur was the PTI founding chairman’s choice for the KP chief minister position, and it was Gandapur’s responsibility to establish the government in accordance with his wishes.

He went on, saying that Aamir Dogar had been appointed top whip in the National Assembly once more to deal with the elected MPs supported by the PTI.

He said that Imran Khan was deeply worried about the current state of affairs in the nation, claiming that it was rapidly approaching an economic catastrophe. He said that Imran had emphasized that improving Pakistan’s financial situation should be everyone’s top priority. He thought that going to the IMF would not be the best and most practical course of action because the financial organization had placed strict conditions on funding that would make the lives of the country’s millions of impoverished and inflation-stricken citizens even worse.

Therefore, Raoof stated that Imran Khan believed that luring foreign investors and big multinational companies to Pakistan would be the greatest way to pull the nation out of its current economic quagmire and strengthen its financial standing. He continued, nevertheless, by saying that it was only feasible under a government that was both publicly required and politically stable.

He stated, “We don’t have enough time, and decisions need to be made as soon as possible, since the country, which is under the Sharif family’s control, is being forced to accept the largest money-laundering organization in the nation.”
