Saudi Arabia to host women sports even for the first time
A women’s sports event is going to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in November. So it is the first tournament of its kind in Saudi Arabia.
According to Arab media reports, a well-informed golf tournament for ladies is going to be which Royal Greens Golf and club has hosted, Jeddah. Saudi Ladies International will be the first Ladies European Tour (LET) event to run. Moreover, it will start on November 12 and will end on November 15 with a prize of $1 million.
The events are going to be Saudi Arabia’s third and fourth professional tournaments within the past two years. They have presented the Saudi International men’s event in 2019 and 2020.
“We are extremely excited to be a part of history in bringing the first-ever professional women’s golf event to Saudi Arabia. And are thankful for delivering not one but two tournaments”. LET CEO said.
“Our Team is always looking to grow the sport in new markets and increase our schedule. And we are confident of the Saudi Ladies International and therefore the Saudi Ladies Team International will be an incredible experience for our players,” Armas added.
Saudi Arabia has hosted several sporting events recently. They including the heavyweight boxing title rematch in 2018. They also hosted an Italian Super Cup in 2018 and 2019.
