Riding a motorcycle on any flyover in Rawalpindi is forbidden
In order to protect public safety, Rawalpindi Police has implemented a tight policy forbidding motorbikes from using flyovers ahead of the Basant holiday. The purpose of this precaution is to avoid any possible mishaps during the joyous festivities.
Precautions have been put in place to lessen the risks related to kite strings in light of the Basant festival in Punjab. In order to prevent any unfortunate accidents, the Rawalpindi Police have particularly blocked flyovers along Murree Road, Airport Road, and other places to motorcycle riders.
Additionally, Rawalpindi law enforcement officials have taken firm action against anyone engaging in illegal activity during Basant, including aerial firing. A number of people have been arrested for their involvement in these unlawful activities in various locations throughout the city.
Throughout the holiday season, the district administration and the police department work diligently to preserve law and order and preserve calm throughout the province.
Prior to this, the Punjab police recommended to the province administration that violations involving kite flying be punished more severely. This proposal calls for a two-million rupee fine and a five-year prison sentence for anyone found to be involved in the making or flying of kites, especially if they use materials that are forbidden.
Additionally, attempts have been made at the federal level, where a bill to outlaw kite flying in the nation’s capital has been submitted in the National Assembly. These actions highlight the government’s dedication to maintaining public safety and averting any dangerous situations amid joyous festivities.
