Pakistan Self-Defence Federation teaches various self-defense methods to a number of women in Lahore

The Pakistan Self-Defence Federation (PSDF) is teaching a number of women in Lahore various self-defense skills so they may be prepared for any unexpected circumstance.

What, though, is self-defense? Many people think that self-defense entails fighting or grappling, but in reality, it simply refers to the capacity to flee from or defend oneself from harm.

PSDF Major (retd) Jawad asserts that the ability to safely escape the “kill zone” is self-defense.

This is a technique that you can employ when you’re in a precarious situation and need to defend your honor and life. The ability to defend oneself is crucial for existence, the speaker stated.

Hunza native Shajjia, a kung fu specialist, said that although she is a proficient in martial arts, she is also studying self-defense to understand how to handle any unfavorable circumstance.

Since I practice martial arts and am studying self-defense, I believe that other girls should be able to do the same.

According to the women and girls enrolled in the PSDF self-defense programs, women from all backgrounds would be able to protect themselves from any threat.

Participant in self-defense education: “We should always be mentally prepared and know what to do in any situation.”

Another stated that everyone has to learn how to defend themselves, regardless of age. She recommended that self-defense instruction be included in all school curricula.

Women are more sensitive by nature than men, according to a PSDF member, but that doesn’t mean they have to be controlled. Thus, self-defense should be a skill that every woman possesses.

A few individuals disclosed that they encountered criticism for having acquired self-defense skills.

However, self-defense education, which consists of 21 self-defense skills, is not just for women in every community, but also for young boys and even men.
