George Strait has announced his first and only Texas performance of the year
Texas A&M will soon host The King!
George Strait has officially announced that he will be doing his first-ever concert at Texas A&M’s Kyle Field stadium, putting an end to months of anticipation among enthusiastic fans.
The much anticipated revelation was finally revealed on social media on Tuesday morning by the 71-year-old country music icon, who also said that it would be his “only show in Texas this year (2024).”
Parker McCollum, a native of Conroe, and vocalist Catie Offerman will be joining him on the bill. This lineup promises to be an incredible musical experience that is sure to break attendance records for concerts in the United States.
104,793 people attended Strait’s final performance of The Cowboy Rides Away Tour, which took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Nonetheless, the top 10 football games at Kyle Field in terms of attendance have all had higher attendance.
For the Strait performance at Kyle Field, temporary floor seating is scheduled to be built in order to meet the expected demand.
The performance is scheduled for Saturday, June 15.
