In Karachi, 110cc bikes are becoming a "top pick" for kidnappers

A new favorite among thieves in Karachi is the 110 cc motorcycle, which has been reported to have been stolen or taken during the past six months for a total estimated value of Rs194.1 million.

These motorcycles were either stolen or abducted in November, 108 in December, 82 in January, 105 in February, 110 in March, and 64 in April, according to the facts.

Two days ago, there came a report of the latest occurrence from Landhi, Zamanabad. The bike owner tried to flee, but the thieves were able to catch up with him a little bit farther on.

On the same day, the New Town police station was notified of another incident that occurred beneath a pedestrian bridge on Stadium Road. Muhammad Naveed, the victim, was even shot and hurt when he was thwarting the robbery.

The victims and the public have asked that the government and police take immediate action to resolve the situation.

Particularly difficult was the last month of 2023, when robbers preyed on people wherever they pleased, exposing the degree of public susceptibility to lawbreakers. 52 people perished in violent robberies and other crimes over that time, which is alarming.

The CPLC data revealed a sharp rise in street crimes, with 2,095 mobile phones, 4,777 motorcycles, and 206 cars reported stolen or taken within a single month.

The report indicates that in September 2023, 207 vehicles valued at millions of rupees were taken away from citizens. Of these, 192 were stolen and 15 were taken at gunpoint.
