Van Explosion Kills Two Students, Others Critically Injured
A sad incident happened in the Liaquatpur area when a van carrying students from three private colleges caught fire while taking them home.
Rescue teams reached quickly and took the injured students to the hospital. Sadly, two students—19-year-old Tayyaba Abbas and 17-year-old Ujala—died from their injuries. Four other students are still in serious condition at the Burn Unit of Nishtar Hospital in Multan.
The police have filed a terrorism case under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA). The case is against the principals of the three private colleges, their staff, the van owner, and the driver.
According to the police report, the people responsible chose a cheap and unsafe LPG van to save money, putting the students’ lives in danger. Police are now trying to arrest them.

In another sad incident, a gas cylinder blast destroyed a house in Irum Colony, Mardan, killing six people from the same family and injuring two others.
The explosion happened around midnight and caused the roof of the two-storey house to collapse.
Among the dead were a husband, wife, and four other family members. Rescue teams reached the area quickly and took the bodies and injured people to the hospital.
