Blast in Bajaur Kills Four, Injures Several
According to the police, a powerful blast happened near the Phatak Mela area in Bajaur. Four people died, and many others were injured.
Police said the blast was aimed at the assistant commissioner’s vehicle. It seems a bomb was planted there, but officials are still checking what kind of bomb it was.
The District Police Officer (DPO) said the explosion caused a lot of damage. Rescue teams quickly reached the spot and took the injured to hospitals nearby.
Security forces closed off the area right after the blast, and an investigation has started.
Earlier Rocket Attack in Bajaur
Last month, the house of Mubarak Zeb Khan—who is a Special Assistant to the Prime Minister and a Member of the National Assembly—was damaged in a rocket attack in Bajaur. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
Police came quickly after the rocket attack and began an investigation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack on Mubarak Zeb Khan’s house. He said he was very worried but thanked Allah that no one died.
