Solo Leveling Live-Action Series Coming to Netflix
A new Korean version of Solo Leveling is being made, with help from Kakao Entertainment and Sanai Pictures. This version will be a live-action show on Netflix.
Solo Leveling first became famous as a Webtoon (a digital comic) made by Chugong and the late artist DUBU. Later, it was turned into an anime, which became very popular around the world.
Now, Netflix is turning it into a live-action series (with real actors). The main character, Sung Jinwoo, will be played by Korean actor Byeon Woo-seok.
The show will be directed by Lee Hae-jun and Kim Byung-seo. They are known for Korean movies like Ashfall and Castaway on the Moon.
Filming has started, but Netflix has not said when the show will be released.
Netflix is Making a Live-Action Solo Leveling Show
Earlier this year, Kakao Entertainment said they were working on a live-action version of Solo Leveling. Now it’s confirmed that Netflix is helping make it.
Webtoons are becoming more popular worldwide, and many are being turned into anime and live-action shows.
If you’re a Solo Leveling fan, you can still watch the first two seasons of the anime on Crunchyroll, in both Japanese and English. There’s no news yet about a third anime season, but this new live-action show gives fans another way to enjoy the story.
This is a big step for Solo Leveling to reach more people around the world.
Also, Crunchyroll recently released the trailer for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle. This movie is the beginning of the final chapter of the popular anime. It will be shown in cinemas across North America starting 12 September.
