Pakistan Launches New Satellite with Chinas Help

Pakistan has launched a new satellite with the help of China. The satellite was made by SUPARCO, Pakistan’s space agency. It will help the country with many important tasks like city planning, disaster management, farming, and protecting the environment.

This new satellite has modern cameras and sensors. It will help Pakistan watch changes in the land, forests, glaciers, and weather. It can also help warn about floods, earthquakes, and landslides.

The satellite will support big projects like CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) by helping in planning and mapping.

With this new launch, Pakistan now has more satellites in space. It joins PRSS-1, launched in 2018, and EO-1, launched in January 2025. This is a big step under Pakistan’s National Space Policy and Vision 2047, which aims to make the country stronger in space technology.

The launch was done with help from China. Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal congratulated the nation and thanked SUPARCO’s scientists and engineers. He also thanked China for its support.

He shared the good news that the satellite has reached its correct orbit. He also said that Pakistan plans to send an astronaut to space next year with China’s help. By 2035, Pakistan hopes to reach the Moon.
