Fuel Prices Update Petrol Down Rs7.54 Diesel Up Rs1.48 in Pakistan

Petrol price cut, diesel price up from August 1

ISLAMABAD – The government of Pakistan has made changes to fuel prices starting August 1, 2025.

According to the Finance Ministry, petrol price has been reduced by Rs7.54 per litre, while diesel price has increased by Rs1.48 per litre.

Now, petrol will cost Rs264.61 per litre, down from Rs272.15. On the other hand, high-speed diesel will now cost Rs285.83 per litre, up from Rs284.35.

Earlier, on July 15, the government had increased fuel prices, which were in effect until July 31. Petrol went up by Rs5.36 per litre and diesel by Rs11.37 per litre at that time.

LPG Price Also Reduced
OGRA (Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority) also cut the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for August 2025. The new LPG price is Rs215.36 per kilogram, which is Rs17.74 less than before.

The domestic LPG cylinder (11.8 kg) will now cost Rs2,541.36, down from Rs2,750.60 — a reduction of Rs209.24.

Officials say these changes follow global oil price trends and aim to reduce the burden on the public.
