Margot Robbie May Lead Tim Burtons Remake of 50 Foot Woman
Margot Robbie in Talks to Star in New Tim Burton Sci-Fi Movie
After the huge success of Barbie, Australian actor Margot Robbie may return to the big screen in another exciting project. She is in early talks to work with famous director Tim Burton on a remake of the 1958 sci-fi horror film Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.
This old movie is about a woman who grows to a giant size after an alien encounter. It was a female version of earlier sci-fi films like The Amazing Colossal Man and The Incredible Shrinking Man.
According to reports, the first draft of the script was written by Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn. However, she is no longer working on the project due to other commitments. The producers are now looking for a new writer, which could also affect whether Margot Robbie officially joins the movie.
The film is being made by Warner Bros. and will be produced by Tim Burton, Andrew Mittman, and Tommy Harper. If Robbie signs on, she will also co-produce the movie under her company, LuckyChap.
Both Robbie and Burton have made big hits for Warner Bros. in recent years — Robbie with Barbie (2023) and Burton with Beetlejuice (2024).
