Barrister Saif Defends KP Govt Slams PML N Over Peace and Swat Tragedy

Speaking to ARY News, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, Adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister on Information, said that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is working closely with tribal elders to keep peace in the province.

He said the criticism of the KP government’s operations is baseless and unfair. Barrister Saif made it clear that any important decision about peace and security will include the views of the tribal people.

He asked all political parties to support the government’s fight against terrorism. He warned that using peace efforts for political scoring is harmful to the country.

Barrister Saif also said that taking up arms against the state is rebellion. He added that terrorists are attacking police, security forces, and the public, and such acts will not be tolerated.

He promised that the KP government is fully focused on ending terrorism and maintaining peace, law, and order. He also said that jirgas (traditional tribal meetings) and talks will remain a part of the peace strategy, along with legal actions.

Earlier, Barrister Saif strongly responded to Federal Minister Atta Tarar’s remarks about the Swat tragedy. Tarar had blamed corruption for the incident.

Barrister Saif accused the PML-N of playing politics with national disasters. He said they often target PTI-led areas to gain political points.

He praised CM Gandapur for showing leadership and offering help to Punjab during the recent heavy rains. In comparison, he criticised PML-N leaders for showing “petty politics” during difficult times.

Barrister Saif also asked Atta Tarar to explain the many disasters that happened in Punjab and Islamabad under his party’s rule.
