It’s been weeks since pop star Katy Perry joined Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ wife Lauren Sanchez, along with Amanda Nguyen, Aisha Bowe, Kerianne Flynn, and Gayle King, on Blue Origin’s all-female space flight in April. But Mariah Carey only recently found out about the extraordinary journey during an interview on Scott Mills’ breakfast show.
The ‘Obsessed’ singer’s reaction was priceless as she tried to wrap her head around the news. “Where’d she go? Into orbit and back?” Carey asked, clearly puzzled. “She’s like floating? And this is true?”
