Karachi Mayor Promises Swift Action to Restore Water Supply in Gulshan-e-Hadeed
Karachi – Mayor Murtaza Wahab has criticized the management of Pakistan Steel Mills for negligence, saying their inaction has left residents of Gulshan-e-Hadeed without a proper water supply. “People were facing hardships due to the obstinate attitude of some individuals,” he remarked.
Assuring the public of swift measures, Mayor Wahab said, “Karachi’s leadership will take all possible steps to provide essential facilities to the citizens.”
He added that work on water supply lines would be expanded to cover more areas in the coming days. The mayor has directed officials from the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board to complete the water supply projects within two weeks.
Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad, the local UC chairman, and other officials accompanied Mayor Wahab during the inspection.
