Jessie J Postpones Tour for Surgery
Jessie J Postpones UK and European Tour Dates After Announcing Second Surgery
Grammy-nominated singer Jessie J, 37, has announced a setback in her recovery from breast cancer, revealing that she will need to undergo a second surgery later this year. As a result, the U.K. and European dates of her Acoustic Tour will be postponed, while all American dates have been cancelled.
In a press release on Thursday, the singer, who underwent a mastectomy and breast reconstruction earlier this year, said: “Unfortunately, I have to have a second surgery — nothing too serious, but it has to be done by the end of this year. This falls in the middle of the tour I had booked. I’m so sorry, I feel frustrated and sad, but I need to be better, I need to be healed.”
Jessie J also shared a video message on Instagram, giving fans a personal update. “I’m living in the moment, I’m embracing the moment, and I’m flying with the vibes,” she said.
“So, that is what it is, and I’m sorry. I feel frustrated and sad, but also, it is what it is. I know this is the right decision to make. So, I’m postponing the tour til next year,” she added.
Fans will now have to wait until next year to see the ‘Price Tag’ singer live on her Acoustic Tour, as she focuses on her health and recovery.
