Imran Bushra Bail Extended Till Oct 7
Court Extends Bail for Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi in Multiple Cases
ISLAMABAD — An Islamabad court on Monday extended the interim bail of former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in several cases until October 7.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka heard the bail pleas. Imran Khan’s bail was extended in cases linked to the May 9 riots, an attempted murder charge, and protest-related incidents.
Bushra Bibi also secured an extension of her interim bail in the Toshakhana fake receipts case. However, the court reserved its decision on her other bail pleas.
During the hearing, arguments on Imran Khan’s bail applications remained incomplete. The judge remarked that a consolidated ruling would be issued on the bail petitions of both Khan and Bushra Bibi.
Several cases have been registered against the PTI founder at police stations, including Tarnol, Karachi Company, and Kohsar.
The development comes as both Khan and his wife are already serving sentences handed down by a Rawalpindi accountability court in the Al-Qadir Trust case, also known as the £190 million case. The court had sentenced Khan and Bushra Bibi to jail and imposed fines of Rs1 million and Rs500,000, respectively.
