Petrol Prices Likely to Rise from September 16
Islamabad – Fuel prices in Pakistan are expected to go up once again, with petrol likely to see an increase of Rs1.54 per litre from September 16, 2025.
According to official sources, High-Speed Diesel (HSD) is projected to rise by Rs4.79 per litre, while kerosene oil may go up by Rs3.06 per litre. The price of light diesel oil is also expected to climb by Rs3.68 per litre.
Initial calculations for the revised rates have been finalised, and a summary will soon be forwarded to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for approval. The new prices will be announced after the prime minister’s nod and will immediately come into effect.
The pricing adjustment is being worked out by the Ministry of Petroleum in consultation with the Ministry of Finance, as part of the routine fortnightly review of fuel prices.

Petrol (Super): Rs266.15 (+1.54)
High-Speed Diesel: Rs274.78 (+4.79)
Light Diesel Oil: Rs163.44 (+3.68)
Kerosene Oil: Rs179.87 (+3.06)
The decision comes amid rising international oil prices and their impact on Pakistan’s domestic market.
