Sarah Omair Opens Up About Divorce, Says ‘Tamasha 4’ Was a Much-Needed Escape
In a candid chat on ARY Digital’s talk show Buzz, recently-eliminated Tamasha 4 contestant Sarah Omair, 37, revealed that she recently went through a divorce from director Mohsin Talat, 47, whom she married in 2016 after 11 years together. The breakup, she said, played a key role in her decision to join the Adnan Siddiqui-hosted reality show.
“I got divorced recently, before coming to Tamasha. So I’m also a single parent now,” Omair told host Hassan Choudary. She shares two sons with her ex-husband.
The actor explained that navigating personal challenges while working in the same industry as her former spouse had taken a toll on her. “Willingly or unwillingly, we cross paths,” she said. “I was mentally disturbed and frustrated with life, and I just wanted to run away from everything. Staying out of touch with certain things became important.”
Omair found the timing of her participation in Tamasha perfect for getting that much-needed peace of mind. “There are no phones, no entertainment, no distractions here. It allowed me to disconnect from everyone, and it was exactly what I needed,” she said.
Reflecting on her experience, she added, “This five-week break was more than enough for me.”
