Demi Lovato Announces Ninth Album, ‘It’s Not That Deep,’ Inspired by Marriage
Demi Lovato is ready to drop her ninth studio album, It’s Not That Deep, marking her first release in three years. Following her recent marriage to longtime partner, musician Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes, Lovato revealed that her husband’s influence shines throughout the 11-track album, set to release next month.
“I think it’s really a reflection of where I’m at personally,” Lovato said. “I’m not in a place where I need these huge emotional ballads to process some deep trauma. My energy feels very light right now.”
The singer, who married Jutes earlier this year, added, “Getting married was a learning curve for me when it came to music. I had to figure out how to write about what’s new in my life, not just what I’ve always known. That’s what this album reflects.”
Lovato and Jutes, engaged in 2023 after more than a year of dating, tied the knot in a dreamy California ceremony this May.
Fans can look forward to It’s Not That Deep, which will be released on October 24.
