Belly & Conrad Movie Confirmed by Jenny Han
Jenny Han Teases Big-Screen Finale for Beloved Series After Third Season Wraps
Amazon has officially confirmed a new movie following the conclusion of the third and final season of the hit book-to-screen series. Jenny Han, the author and creator behind the story, has shared exciting hints about what fans can expect from the big-screen adaptation, which will continue the tale of Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah.
Speaking about the decision not to rush the story in the final season, Han said, “I knew that’s what I wanted to do, and I knew that it was going to take a beat to put everything into place, but that was always my vision.”
She added, “I feel like there are still some things that the audience wants to see, and I wanted to deliver that to them in a bigger way than just wrapping up at the end of the season. I’m really excited to direct it, and I’m excited to make a movie.”
While the film is still in early stages and isn’t expected to hit theaters until after 2026, Han teased the plot, revealing, “I’m excited to offer that gift to the fans who really want to see Belly and Conrad together. We see the beginnings of their reunion in the finale, but you don’t get to see what that looks like. I’m thrilled to explore that on the big screen.”
It’s still unclear whether the movie will feature a new cast or if Lola Tung, Gavin Casalengo, and Christopher Briney will reprise their roles from the series. Fans will have to wait for more details as the project develops.
