The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned that several districts in Sindh, including Umar Kot, Thar Parkar, Badin, Mithi, Sujawal, Jamshoro, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Karachi, and Thatta, may experience rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms starting tonight.
“Some areas of Sindh could see moderate to heavy rain with thunderstorm activity,” the weather authorities said.
While most parts of the province will remain hot and humid on Monday and Tuesday, districts such as Thar Parkar, Umar Kot, Badin, Sujawal, and Sanghar may receive light to moderate showers, the PMD added. Temperatures are expected to climb, with the maximum in the city reaching between 35°C and 37°C.
Earlier, the PMD had forecasted hot and humid weather for Karachi, with the possibility of thunderstorms and light to moderate rainfall on Tuesday. The department’s Early Warning Centre also predicted partly cloudy skies on September 30, with rain likely in some areas of the city.
