Actor and comedian Eline Van der Velden is breaking new ground in entertainment with her AI talent studio, Xicoia. This week at the Zurich Summit, Van der Velden unveiled Xicoia’s latest creation: Tilly Norwood, an entirely AI-generated actor who has already attracted attention from several talent agents.
Speaking at the summit, Van der Velden shared the journey of Norwood’s development: “Back in February, we were in boardrooms and everyone said, ‘No, this isn’t going to happen.’ By May, the conversation completely changed—suddenly, people wanted to work with us.”
Since her debut in July in the comedy sketch AI Commissioner, Norwood has made waves with her line, “I may be AI-generated, but I’m feeling very real emotions right now.” Van der Velden hopes Norwood will reach the heights of stars like Scarlett Johansson or Natalie Portman.
“When we first introduced Tilly, people were asking, ‘What’s that?’ Now, we’re preparing to announce which agency will represent her in the coming months,” Van der Velden added.
