Afghan withdrawal: PM Imran Khan’s UK visit rescheduled
PM Imran Khan’s UK visit rescheduled that had planned for next month. It has been postponed owing to internal security, political, and regional issues, according to sources.
The premier was due to travel to the United Kingdom in the first week of July, at the request of Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
According to reports, the prime minister has chosen to postpone the visit due to “serious matters” that he wants to monitor himself.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan will personally oversee the departure of foreign forces from Afghanistan,” they claimed.
On June 7, Prime Minister Johnson spoke by phone with his Pakistani counterpart and asked him to visit the UK.
However, PM Imran Khan’s UK visit rescheduled in the coming days.
The Pakistani Prime Minister also slated to watch the Pakistan-England cricket match.
According to the source, the PM may see Pakistan play England in Cardiff on July 8 or in London at Lord’s on July 10.
Imran Khan’s first visit to the United Kingdom as Prime Minister would have taken place on this date.
