Afridi Slams Govt Over Tourist Tragedy in Swat
Many people are angry after a recent tragic incident, blaming the authorities for not acting quickly.
Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi spoke out on social media (X). He said that the victims waited for help, but no one came to save them.
“Innocent people waited until the very end, hoping someone would help. But the people in charge had other priorities,” Afridi said.

Fast bowler Mir Hamza was also very upset. He said the tragedy shows that the system has completely failed. He called for those responsible to be punished.
“I can’t even watch the video. This is not just a tragedy — this is a system failure. And it’s at its worst. Those responsible should be punished. It’s a big shame,” he wrote on X.
So far, 4 tourists have been rescued, 11 bodies recovered, and the search is still ongoing for 3 missing people.
The public is very angry. Many people are blaming the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, especially Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. They say the government was not prepared and responded too late, which led to more deaths.
