After the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee sees the Shawwal moon, Pakistan will celebrate Eid ul Fitr 2021 tomorrow.

After the Shawwal moon was sighted today, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (RHC) declared that Pakistan will celebrate Eid ul Fitr 2021 tomorrow, Thursday 13.

The news came after a meeting at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony in Islamabad. It has chaired by RHC Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.

During the post-meeting press conference, Maulana Azad said that testimonies obtained from various areas of the country. It includes Chaman, Pasni, Killa Saifullah, Peshawar, Mirpurkhas, and many other regions.

The RHC made the decision based on testimony from around the world. It consists of various members from the central and zonal committees in attendance.

The meeting also attended by representatives from the meteorological department, the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), and the Ministry of Science and Technology.

After failing to see the Shawwal moon, the zonal committees of Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Kohat, Quetta, and Sukkur adjourned their meeting. The zonal committees had their meetings at their respective headquarters.

The crescent moon appears when it is 20 hours and 40 minutes old, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

Azad had previously confirmed his determination to ensure that Pakistan will celebrate Eid ul Fitr 2021 tomorrow.

Since there was “no chance” of citing the Shawwal moon on May 12, Wednesday. The Pakistan Meteorological Department had previously reported that Eid-ul-Fitr would be observed on Friday.
