Pakistan to give 100 scholarships for Students in Sri-Lanka

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has announced that Pakistan has decided to award scholarships, to 100 students from Sri Lanka in the top medical institutes of the country.

The foreign minister has announced this move during his trip to Sri Lanka alongside Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In a tweet after his arrival in Colombia; Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan is standing side by side with Sri Lanka as a partner for:

  • Development of human resources;
  • Security cooperation,
  • Fighting terrorism,
  • Development,
  •  Prosperity.

Earlier in the day, Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a meeting with Sri-Lankan counterpart;

Discussed matters across a range of bilateral, regional, and international interests.
Together we are committed to working together to strengthen our relationship and evolve new areas of collaboration and cooperation, said the Foreign Minister.

He further added that we are building Pakistan’s economy as the hub of trade and investment which will focus on the digital economy;

Including our vibrant private sector and tapping our enormous natural & human resources.
Under the vision for #economicdiplomacy, we extend a partnership to develop mutually beneficial economic ties, added Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
