Las Vegas Chosen for 2026 World Cup Draw

LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas will host the official draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to ESPN and TUDN Mexico.

The 2026 tournament will include 48 teams for the first time. These teams will be divided into 12 groups, each with 4 countries. The World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

This is not the first time Las Vegas has hosted the draw. The city also held the draw for the 1994 World Cup, even though it was not one of the host cities for matches.

Earlier reports said the draw might be held at The Sphere, a large venue in Las Vegas that opened in 2023. However, venue sources later confirmed that The Sphere will not be used for the World Cup draw.

Like in 1994, Las Vegas is not a match host city for 2026, but it will still host the important draw event.
