36 close relatives receive tickets from PMLN

Punjabi province and national assembly elections have their party candidates announced by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN).

There are 36 contenders, including husband-wife, father-son, father-in-law, brother-in-law, mother-son, and uncle-nephew relationships. Nawaz Sharif and his daughter will run from Lahore in the National Assembly elections. In a similar vein, Shehbaz Sharif will run in the National Assembly elections along with his son Hamza Shehbaz.

A ticket for the National Assembly has been awarded to PMLN Lahore President Saiful Mulok Khokhar, and his son Faisal Ayub has been given a ticket for the Provincial Assembly. On a PMLN ticket, Lahore native Afzal Khokhar and his nephew Irfan Shafi Khokhar are running for office.

Former minister Owais Leghari of Dera Ghazi Khan and his son Amar Leghari have been granted National Assembly tickets from Rajanpur. Former minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq is running for the National legislature, while his brother Salman Rafiq is running from Lahore for the provincial legislature.

Muzaffargarh is the home of former minister Syed Basit Bukhari and his daughter Syeda Shahr Bano Bukhari. Iqbal Chanar of Bahawalpur has been given a ticket for the National Assembly, while his son Zaheer Iqbal Chanar has been given a ticket for the Provincial Assembly. Chaudhry Khalid Javed Waraich from Toba Tek Singh has won national tickets, and his son Uqba Waraich has won provincial tickets. Yaqoob Shaikh is a candidate for the National Assembly from Jhang and his wife Rashida Yaqoob for provincial assembly.

Rana Hayat of Kasur has been given a national assembly ticket, while his son Rana Sikandar has been given a provincial ticket.Begum Tahmina Daultana and her son Irfan Aqeel Daultana from Vehari have been handed tickets.

Amjad Farooq Khosa of Dera Ghazi Khan and his son Abdul Qadir Khosa of Taunsa have been given tickets to the National Assembly. Siddique Baloch of Lodhran has been given a ticket for the National Assembly, while his son Umair Baloch has been given a ticket for the Provincial Assembly.

Khanewal has awarded Syed Muhammad Mukhtar Hussain Shah a National Assembly ticket, and his son Muhammad Murtaza Hussain has been granted a provincial ticket. Former federal minister Mian Javed Latif has been nominated for the National parliament, while his brother Mian Amjad Latif has been nominated for the Sheikhupura provincial parliament.

Former deputy speaker Dost Mohammad Mazari of Rajanpur has been given a provincial ticket, while his uncle Riyaz Mazari has been given a ticket to the National Assembly. Rana Sanaullah Khan of Faisalabad has been given a ticket for the National Assembly, while his son-in-law Rana Ahmed Shahryar has been given a ticket for the Provincial Assembly.

Eight new faces from Punjab have been granted National Assembly tickets by the Muslim League-N. Among them are Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the daughter of Nawaz Sharif from Lahore, and Bilal Azhar Kayani, the son of Major General (retd) Azhar Kayani from Jhelum. For the first time, Attaullah Tarar, the grandson of former President Rafiq Tarar, will run for office
