A gunman opened fire on the S Waziristan police station

In a rural area of South Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, an under-construction police station was attacked by unknown gunmen on Thursday night, resulting in the deaths of at least five laborers.

One of the laborers employed by the police station was hurt in the late-night shooting on Thursday, according to the police.

The police stated that the bodies and the injured worker had been taken to a Wana district hospital.

District Police Officer (DPO) Farmanullah stated that after the incident is investigated, all details will be disclosed. He continued by saying that information on the firing event cannot be released at this time.

On October 31, four laborers and a police officer were attacked by unknown attackers at a police station in the Nasirabad region of Turbat, Balochistan. The incident was classified by the authorities as a terror incident.

An official stated that the workers were Mohammad Uzair, Baqar Ali, Shehbaz Ahmed, and Shehzad Ahmed, and that they were from Punjab.

During the same month, gunmen in Turbat city attacked laborers during the night, leaving at least six dead and two injured.

The workers were ambushed by unknown gunmen while they slept in a residence that was still under construction, according to the police.

470 people have died in terror attacks in KP this year

As a result of the at least 470 security personnel and civilian deaths in the province last year, there was a concerning increase in terror-related incidents both nationally and specifically in KP.

Based on data provided by Geo News, 1,050 terror-related incidents resulted in the deaths of 470 people in just one year.

According to the provincial home department and tribal affairs record, 698 residents and security officials lost their lives in 1,823 terror-related incidents over the previous three years.

Throughout the previous year, seven locations in KP along the Pakistan-Afghan border continued to be “terrorism hotspots.” Peshawar, Khyber, North and South Waziristan, Dera Ismail Khan, Bajaur, and Tank are among the regions.

419 terror-related incidents were reported in Bandobasti, 631 in the former Fata, 201 in North Waziristan, 169 in Khyber, 121 in South Waziristan, 98 in DI Khan, 62 in Bajaur, and 61 in Tank and Peshawar. Of the 1,050 occurrences, 419 occurred in South Waziristan.

In Peshawar, four in Bajaur, 28 in Khyber, 36 in North Waziristan, and 29 in South Waziristan, 106 security men accepted martyrdom.

Similarly, 73 people lost their lives in Bajur, 28 in North Waziristan, 5 in DI Khan, 7 in Tank, and 2 in Peshawar and Khyber due to terror-related incidents
