The Traffic Awareness and Education Team of Abu Dhabi Police teamed up with the Make a Wish Foundation to fulfill a young boy’s dream. They made him a police officer’s uniform and arranged for him and his sister to go on a police patrol tour around the city.
The boy was overjoyed when he heard the police siren and got to shadow the officer during his duties. He even interacted with other police officers.
This heartwarming event happened on Emirati Children’s Day and was made possible with the help of the Umniah Foundation. Hani Al Zubaidi, CEO of the Make a Wish Foundation, thanked Abu Dhabi Police for keeping the community safe and making the boy’s dream come true.
Abu Dhabi Police’s Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate also collaborated with the British Mamoura Academy and Make a Wish Foundation. They organized activities like the Children’s Traffic Patrol and a workshop to teach students about traffic safety.
Brigadier General Mahmoud Yousef Al Balushi, Director of the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, highlighted the UAE’s commitment to protecting children’s rights and achievements, especially on Emirati Children’s Day.
