As Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal issues worsen, he is missing important life events with his kids.
Diddy will not be present at his daughter Chance’s graduation from Sierra Canyon School in the Los Angeles area this coming week. Chance is 17 years old.
While other family members are flying in for the ceremony, sources close to the Combs family told TMZ that Diddy has told his family he won’t be attending, though he didn’t give a reason.
The Combs family surmises that Combs’s lack of appearance is connected to his current legal troubles and his desire to avoid the spotlight, since his presence may potentially eclipse Chance’s special day with a spectacle.
It’s anticipated that some of Chance’s half-siblings and Kim Porter’s family will be present at the graduation.
Chance is shared by Sarah Chapman and Diddy.
Combs also skipped his twins’ junior high school prom, Jessie and D’Lila, who are in their third year of high school.
Diddy has been an attentive parent in the past, despite his current absences.
Notably, in March, when Combs was getting ready to take his children on a Spring Break vacation, federal investigators in Florida detained his private jet while they were with him.
Diddy has usually resided at or close to his Miami house ever since.
According to sources who spoke with TMZ, federal officials have not prohibited Combs’ travel, so his decision to skip these events is voluntary rather than the result of legal constraints.
Diddy seems to be attempting to insulate his kids from the continuing legal drama as an indictment is imminent.
