Khalid Butt, a veteran actor, dies in Lahore

According to local reports on Thursday, veteran Pakistani actor and director Khalid Butt passed away in Lahore on account of problems from liver and kidney illnesses. According to people close to Butt’s family, Friday’s Asr prayer would be followed by the actor’s burial prayer.

The well-known actor, who started his career in the 1970s and starred in numerous Punjabi and Urdu motion pictures and TV shows, was most recently seen in the drama serial Khaie, starring Faysal Quraishi and Durefishan Saleem.

Butt began his career as an assistant director before going on to become a director of his own picture. Together with numerous theater plays, he has contributed to a number of well-known films and television shows. In addition, Butt received the Pride of Performance award for his creative contributions.

In the PTV series Jangal Pura (1997), Boota to Toba Tek Singh (1999), and Landa Bazaar (2002), he was spotted showcasing his acting abilities.

Numerous Pakistani musicians honored the late star on social media.
