Kim Kardashian is bringing her skills with reality TV to a written series. The businesswoman is slated to play a formidable divorce attorney in a new Hulu series, and her own lawyer, Laura Wasser, served as an unexpectedly close model for the role.
In a recent episode of “The Kardashians,” Kardashian talked about her long-standing friendship with Wasser, who assisted her in handling her divorces from Kanye West and Kris Humphries.
After her brief marriage to Humphries, the reality star teased about the nature of their relationship, telling producer Ryan Murphy, “There’s even so many fun moments with Laura and I where I’m just like, ‘Don’t ever let me do this again!'”
Wasser, dubbed the “disso queen” in Hollywood for her knowledge of high-profile divorces, didn’t seem to overlook Kardashian’s entreaty. With a grin, Kardashian recalled, “Then the next [divorce], she would be like ‘Hi, you reminded me last time, don’t ever let you do this again.”
This look into Kardashian’s previous marriage and her dependence on Wasser’s legal representation will probably influence the next Hulu series.
Kardashian will supposedly play the lead lawyer in an all-female legal company in the program, which is anticipated to start production later this year and broadcast in early 2025.
The announcement about the casting coincides with Kardashian’s legal studies. The reality TV star has declared her plan to sit for the bar test in February 2025, possibly making the move from reality TV diva to real-life courtroom lawyer.
