In stark contrast, Gautam Adani, the chairperson of the Adani Group, enjoyed a notable increase in his net worth.
On the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Ambani’s fortune plummeted by $2 billion (around Rs 16,801 crore) in just 24 hours, pushing him down to 15th place with a total net worth of $102 billion.
This decline not only affected his wealth but also caused a significant shift in his position on the list.
Conversely, Adani experienced a boost, adding $266 million to his wealth, which now stands at $99.2 billion. This increase has elevated him to 18th place among global billionaires.
In the wider billionaire landscape, Bernard Arnault, who previously held the title of the world’s richest person, faced his challenges, losing $3.46 billion in the past day. His current net worth is now $182 billion, dropping him to 5th place in the rankings.
Meanwhile, both Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos have seen their fortunes rise recently. Musk remains at the top of the list with a net worth of $241 billion, while Amazon founder Bezos follows closely behind in second place with $211 billion.
