The prices of solar panels in Pakistan, particularly in Lahore, have witnessed a substantial decline. This drop in solar panel rates has brought about increased affordability, offering a ray of hope for Pakistanis amidst soaring power tariffs and a growing inclination towards green energy solutions.
Reports indicate a notable decrease in the prices of solar panel systems ranging from 7 to 15 kilowatts in the provincial capital. For instance, the price of a 7-kilowatt system has decreased by Rs1 lakh, now priced at Rs825,000. Similarly, a 10-kilowatt system is now available for Rs1.125 million, reflecting a significant price reduction.
Furthermore, the price of a 12-kilowatt system has witnessed a drop of Rs200,000, now priced at Rs1.4 million. Similarly, the price for a 15-kilowatt system has also decreased by Rs200,000, now standing at Rs1.6 million.
This sudden drop in prices comes as a welcome relief, particularly with the approaching summer season when energy demands typically surge. Notably, last month witnessed an increase in solar panel prices due to heightened demand ahead of the summer season.
