Ameesha Patel Confesses Tom Cruise Has Been Her Lifelong Crush
Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel recently opened up about her long-standing admiration for Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise during a candid podcast conversation with Ranveer Allahadia.
The 50-year-old, known for hits like Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, revealed that Cruise has been her crush since childhood. She fondly recalled covering her bedroom walls with his posters and decorating her school supplies with his pictures.
“My fascination with him has never faded,” Patel admitted, joking that Cruise is one of the few men for whom she might bend the rules. The actress previously expressed similar feelings at a 2023 red-carpet event, saying she would gladly swap places with any co-star lucky enough to work alongside him.
Patel also discussed her views on marriage, emphasizing that she’s open to it if she finds the right person. “I am all for marriage if I find someone worthy. They say, ‘Where there is a will, there is a way,’ so the person who finds me through everything and seizes the opportunity will be my person,” she said.
She added that she continues to receive proposals, sometimes from men half her age, but stressed that mental maturity matters more than age. “I have met many people older than me who have the IQ of a fly,” Patel quipped.
The actress also shared her admiration for Cruise’s iconic roles, including Top Gun and The Mummy, saying that any opportunity to work with him would be irresistible.
