Without her children, Angelina Jolie acknowledged she would have become lost in the dark.

After her divorce from Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie admitted that her children “saved” her at a difficult period in her life.

The 48-year-old actress reflected on the trying time she and her kids had to endure after filing for divorce from Pitt in 2016 in an interview for Vogue’s November cover story.

“We needed to do a lot of healing. We’re still trying to find our feet,” she said.

She said, “I became a mother at age 26.” “My life as a whole altered. The birth of my children saved me and showed me a new way to live.

The philanthropist said, “Had I not wanted to live for them,” she would have lost herself to darkness.

She continued, “They’re better than me because you want your kids to be.”

Prior to their divorce in 2016, Jolie and the Bullet Train actor had been together for ten years.

Six children—Madden, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox—were born to the ex-couple.

The Salt actress accused Pitt of being physically abusive after their split.
