In a new interview, Anne Hathaway talked about her upcoming movie ‘Mother Mary’, directed by David Lowery. She plays a famous fictional pop star in the film. Anne said this was the hardest role she has ever done in her career.
“When I first read the script, I knew right away that I couldn’t just act like Mother Mary,” she said. “If I got the role, I had to become someone the director could shape and work with.”
Anne explained that she had to act like a beginner again, even though she’s a very experienced actor. “I had to be okay with not being perfect. Every day, I had to accept that I wouldn’t do great at first. That doesn’t mean I’m bad — it just means I’m learning,” said the star of The Devil Wears Prada.
She shared that filming ended last July, but the movie still doesn’t have a release date. The film also stars Michaela Coel, Hunter Schafer, Jessica Brown Findlay, Sian Clifford, and FKA Twigs.
