Dubai – The stage is set for the Asia Cup 2025 as captains from Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE, Hong Kong, and Oman gathered at the Dubai International Stadium for the official trophy unveiling ceremony. The leaders posed for photos with the iconic trophy, sharing their excitement ahead of the much-anticipated tournament.
During the event, Naqvi personally greeted each captain and shook hands, marking the formal start of the tournament celebrations.
The 15th edition of the men’s Asia Cup will be played in the T20I format, with matches scheduled across Dubai International Stadium and Shaikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The eight participating teams have been divided into two groups, with the top two from each progressing to the Super Four stage. The final is slated for September 28.
Group A: features India, Pakistan, Oman, and hosts the UAE. India will open their campaign against the UAE on September 10 in Dubai, before taking on arch-rivals Pakistan on September 14. Their group stage concludes with a clash against Oman on September 19 in Abu Dhabi.
Group B: consists of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka, promising another series of thrilling encounters.
