The Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, is planning something special for ASP Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi and her family. This gesture comes as a result of Shehrbano’s remarkable bravery in rescuing a woman from a violent crowd in Lahore’s Achhra Market.
During a meeting held at the Saudi embassy, Ambassador Al-Malki expressed his deep admiration for Shehrbano’s courageous actions. He not only praised her bravery but also offered to cover all the expenses for her and her family to travel to Saudi Arabia as esteemed guests of the royal family.
Following her heroic deeds, ASP Shehrbano and her family were formally invited for this royal visit by the Saudi ambassador to Pakistan. He assured her that the Saudi royal family would take care of all the expenses for their journey to Saudi Arabia as a gesture of honor and respect.
The ambassador commended Shehrbano for her professionalism and selfless commitment to her duty, especially in handling such a challenging situation with courage and grace.
Prior to this recognition from the Saudi embassy, ASP Shehrbano had visited General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at General Headquarters. During her visit, General Munir acknowledged the significant role that Pakistani women play in society.
He emphasized, “Since independence, Pakistani women have distinguished themselves both domestically and internationally through their exceptional talent, resilience, and dedication.”
In acknowledgment of her exceptional bravery and service, IG Punjab Usman Anwar recommended ASP Shehrbano for the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal. This prestigious recognition underscores the importance of Shehrbano’s courageous actions and highlights her outstanding service to the community.
