The top batsman for Pakistan, Babar Azam, has created history by being the fastest player in T20 cricket history to amass 10,000 runs.
While participating for Peshawar Zalmi in the current Pakistan Super League (PSL), he reached this milestone in 271 innings. Azam broke Chris Gayle’s previous record, which he had held for 285 innings to accomplish.
Azam’s incredible achievement came in a game against the Karachi Kings; he needed just six runs to reach the mark, which he did with ease. Azam has played T20 cricket for 19 different teams in his career.
