Bahrain Protects Citizens’ Rights Amid Kuwaiti Nationality Revocations
Manama – In a move aimed at safeguarding citizens’ rights, the Bahrain News Agency reports that a royal directive from King Hamad ensures affected individuals can continue to travel freely and retain essential rights linked to their identity and mobility.
The directive highlights the King’s commitment to keeping families united, providing reassurance to those impacted by the revocation of Kuwaiti nationality. Authorities emphasized that the order aims to maintain stability for families navigating uncertain circumstances.
Bahrain’s government described the decision as a humanitarian measure, placing family stability and national solidarity at the heart of the kingdom’s policies. The announcement has been widely welcomed domestically as a clear sign of the King’s dedication to social cohesion and protection for Bahraini families facing legal and social challenges.
In a related update, nearly 29,000 individuals have filed formal complaints with the Cabinet’s Grievance Committee for Withdrawal, Revocation, and Loss of Kuwaiti Citizenship, seeking to contest or clarify decisions regarding the loss of nationality.
The committee, led by Counsellor Ali Musaed Al Dhubaibi, operates continuously—even on official holidays—to ensure those affected have uninterrupted access. For individuals facing technical difficulties submitting complaints online, the committee provides direct support through dedicated contact channels.
